Carpet comes in many different colors and styles. At the core of any carpet purchase is the balancing of performance and comfort. Often times in the carpet world, the two options don’t come hand-in-hand. A strong sturdy berber can provide a nice option for areas with heavy foot traffic, but usually don’t provide the best flooring for rolling around with your family. A cut-pile (plush or frieze) carpet is known to be a soft, comfortable flooring solution that is used in family rooms and bedrooms where more than foot traffic is common. 

The complexities of fibers and dyes are great, but at a basic level, wool, nylon, and polyesters are what make up carpet fibers. Wools are durable and expensive, but often times a dream carpet.
